Casa do Alentejo


I came across Casa do Alentejo, Lisbon, back in the 1980’s, it has a timeless quality that is unique in the middle of a city. Formerly a 17th century Moorish palace , it has been used as a school, casino and now a restaurant. It has many rooms and is used by the locals to relax, play cards or read a newspaper. Every time I visit Lisbon I drop in to see and hope that nothing has changed, fortunately it never does.
