Starting as a printer I became a commercial/industrial photographer just at the point when the Thatcher years were closing down the companies I was doing work for. I decided on a change of direction and went to London to become an assistant to an editorial photographer on the princely weekly wage of £45, after that things could only get better! 5 years later I was working for national magazines and companies like Sainsbury’s and Marks and Spencer.
In 1996 I started working in Bath and have now relocated to a purpose built studio on the edge of Trowbridge. This large studio is suitable for most types of work, from a room set to a pack shot and has a fully equipped kitchen, large prop collection and ample free parking.
Being a photographer is, in my opinion, about observation and the ability to create visually stimulating pictures from any subject. I can never look at anything without considering how I could make a good composition for a photograph, in fact going on holiday is just an excuse to satisfy the constant desire to take pictures, just ask my wife!
